      "text": "Manuel Fanha Vieira was born in Entroncamento on 20 June 1934 and worked in accounting and insurance. After serving as a full-time councillor from 1979 to 1982, he became mayor for the Socialist Party in 1982–1985. During his presidency he inaugurated the Jardim Afonso Serrão Lopes, continuing a project begun under his predecessor. His later public service centered on the Santa Casa da Misericórdia do Entroncamento, which he led until 2016.\n\nWith his team, he improved the hospital and existing care home and developed a new home and continuing-care unit. The latter bears his name and began operating in September 2010. He died on 1 June 2019, aged 84, leaving a legacy in both municipal government and community care."

His 2010 interview describes entering the Santa Casa in 2001 during financial difficulty, assembling a team and improving hospital and residential-care services. The continuing-care unit was then preparing to open. These are his recollections and the newspaper’s contemporary account, not audited financial conclusions."

      "text": "His Santa Casa leadership ended in 2016. An interview with the succeeding leadership in 2017 described financial strain and restructuring, qualifying a purely celebratory account of the institution’s expansion. After his death in June 2019, the Municipal Assembly unanimously approved a tribute recognising both his municipal and welfare work. Its minutes record twenty-three votes in favour and a minute’s silence."

The institutional chronology then records an administrative commission from 27 October 2016. The one-year discrepancy in the starting date remains explicit rather than being silently reconciled."
